25 Days of Christmas Movies Day 15: Keep the Change Ya Filthy Animal

LAST MOVIE WATCHED: Home Alone
TO WATCH OR NOT TO WATCH: I must admit, it had been quite a few years since I last saw this....and watching it again I was in stitches. I have always loved to quote the lines....particularly the ones Kevin recalls his family saying "You're like a disease!" "You're what the French call: les incompetents." "Look what you did you LITTLE JERK!" But there's something about the delivery IN the film that's just fantastic. The movie is the ultimate kid fantasy (okay well maybe not THE ultimate....but definitely up there.) but watching it as an adult it's pretty darn entertaining too. The childhood nostalgia definitely helps too :) but the movie is very solid in it's own right....even if the slapstick humor violence can be overwhelming at times haha.
EMILY RATING: 9/10
UP NEXT: Joyeux Noel

This movie makes me hurt. I cringed all the way through it the first time. But it was fun watching you kids watch it. :)

I'm with Mom on this. Those burglars deserve everything they get, but to we have to see the sheer ouchiness of it? But I do enjoy the rest of it--even though as a mom now, it stresses me out at times.

My mom hated us watching this movie because of the way they talked to eachother. :) But we did, and still quote it all the time. It is a classic.

Tried to watch this movie with the family, but I think I'm the only one who finished watching it. I'm a stubborn believer in giving a bad movie a chance to get better. It's gotta be really bad for me to give up and walk out.

That being said, I didn't find this one to be bad, necessarily, just not great. There were definitely some funny moments and lines, but too much disrespect and meanness. It get's old after a while.
