Back to school....back to school to prove to Dad that I'm not a fool

I'm back! And I'm afraid I've neglected the site for about 2 weeks now. I've just been pretty busy getting life back to normal after the cruise. I have plenttttty of blogs in my head that need to get out soon including that mexican adventure..(movies on boats, the state fair, best fake movies, and randomly my newfound feelings regarding beauty and the beast) But for now all you get is a mini blog....over on Courtney's blog. Time for another monthly themed list and this time for September it's back to school movies! So read all about it in the link below. But once again, below that you can find a few hints :)

You got all my favorites! Except that I am not a Billy Madison fan!

Oh good :) Caitlin pointed out I forgot Easy A. Napoleon Dynamite was on a lot of lists too. So was Election. Wish I had seen that one all the way through

I think Orange County would go on my list. John Lithgow and Jack Black alone make that movie worth watching. Plus it introduced me to Tom Hanks' progeny Colin who sounds a lot like his dad when he whines (if Billy Madison qualifies (as funny as I think it is) then this one is good enough too.) I also think 17 Again is enjoyable (even though it doesn't belong on this list) if for no other reason than Zac Efron and Thomas Lennon. And you are absolutely right about Harry Potter. Uh oh, now you've got me wanting to watch only school themed movies. Thank goodness for John Hughes in the 80s!!!

I love inspirational teaching movies too, like Freedom Writers. I also liked The Emperor's Club, which put a slight twist on the inspirational teacher because the student he's trying to help still turns out to be d-bag. Does Akeelah and the Bee count even though its about a spelling bee? Finding Forrester is really good too. Ok, I'm done.

Haha I HATE Freedom Writers. That's exactly what I'm talking about and never saw Emperor's Club because it struck me as that. I actually haven't seen Orange County but I'm assuming it's college-y right? I'm kind of regretting I don't have any college movies on the list, but I can't think of a good one off the top of my head! Animal House came to mind, but haven't seen that one either.

Dear Emily,
It is great to know that there is another person out there that is as big of a movie fan as I am. I want to own a theater one day, I have loved movies since I was a little kid. My dream is to go to the oscars and meet my favorite celebrities. By the way I love "The Breakfast Club", it's one of my favorite movies. Can't wait to hear your response. The Movie Freak.
